Cup Supremacy is mine!

All this inside time lately has led to me occasionally scanning Ebay or COMC for cards.  And while I'm leaving my COMC horde to ship for a later day, my Ebay stuff ships automatically, and this post features my biggest card buy in a while.

For a little history, I briefly collected cards featuring drinking cups on them.  Paper cups, water bottles, coolers - it was a fun collection, and I remember people really being into it.  Eventually I stopped collecting those cards (Mainly because I'm a man who needs limits in my collecting and that collection seemed limitless!), but one card in particular kept drawing me back.  Samuel Deduno's 2006 Bowman cup card.

I decided to collect every copy of that card ever made, and have since grabbed some commons and higher number parallels here and there.  So imagine my surprise when I saw one of its printing plates on Ebay with a cheap BIN/OBO:

My jaw dropped, I hit the bin (Didn't even mess around with a best offer), and I now have one of six 1/1's of the best card ever created.  There's 4 plates, a red /1 for the base card, and a /1 chrome superfractor.  I never thought I'd have any of the 1/1's, so to pick up this yellow one is oh so sweet.  Definitely an epic addition to my ridiculous collection!
