Just Picked Up My Nicest Patch Card!

Recently a guy on Blowout was looking to move a bunch of his football cards for baseball. I took a quick look through his stuff and found most of it okay. The last card, however, was a pretty epic triple patch of Maurice Jones-Drew #'d 32 (his jersey number) out of 50. I'm not a particularly huge MJD fan or anything, but I like him well enough, the card looks gorgeous, and I figured I could get it without breaking the bank. I was correct, and after talking trades for a few days the card was mine. Here is it in all its patch-y glory:
The patches on the card are so neat! The left one is obviously the highlight, and comes from the mini Jaguar in MJD's shoulder area. The middle patch is actually from a UCLA jersey that MJD wore during college - not sure which part though. And then finally the last piece is from a pro jersey again - not really sure where it would go but it looks pretty cool!

This was a random pick up for sure, but it's my nicest patch card by far and I think it's a tremendous addition to my collection. I'd argue it's even better than the /5 version of this card that currently sits on COMC, which features most of the Jaguars posterior. Let's hope this is the start of many excellent patch cards for my collection!

  1. Holy. Crap.

I'm so damn jealous right now.

I need to find Seneca Wallace himself and trade him to you.

  6. Oh yes, I believe that qualifies as a "sick" patch. :)
