You'd think that a card #'d to 50 wouldn't appear too much on Ebay, but this one did. I was unimpressed by scans the first few times so I didn't bite, but this time the cost was cheap and I decided to just go for it. I'm glad I did, because this card looks so nice in person:
It's #'d 36/50, and contains three pieces of event-worn/used equipment: a football, a jersey, and a shoe.
The football and jersey are your usual stuff, while the shoe is new to me. It also feels really cool, like gel-like. Those must have been some comfy shoes!
The other card is a sweeeet on-card auto of Seneca:
Ain't it purty? I thought so. No serial #, but it is a parallel I needed, and so I was very glad to pick it up.
And that'll do 'er...two new Senecas for my collection!
I have been admiring your Seneca powers for some time, these are the first two that I would pursue. Great color and assortment of GU up top and a Really exceptionally crafted sig below. Hells yes.
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks dude! The above one just looked back in a lot of photos/scans, i.e. you couldn't always tell how nice the jersey piece was, the shoe looked kind of cardboard-esque, the mirror blue didn't shine that much, etc. I'm glad I bit the bullet though, because they look much better on my scan, and the card looks even more beautiful in person.
ReplyDeleteAs for the auto, it is great, and I love it, but people always charged too much for it (read $8-10 plus shipping, which is a lot for me lol). I picked this one up for 99 cents + 2.99 shipping, which I think had a lot to do with a terrible auction scan. I was still surprised to win the auction (was sure I'd be outbid at the last minute), but I'm glad I did!
*back should read bad in the first line
ReplyDeleteI miss Leaf memorabilia cards. They were excellent.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I was a huge fan of Donruss/Leaf back in the day, especially mid 90's to a few years ago. Why'd they have to leave? :'-(
